About the Modeling and Simulation Speaker Series
Beginning in January of 2024 we will be hosting a Modeling and Simulation Speaker series! Each month, we will hear from a different company working in the Modeling and Simulation space about how they are using Unreal Engine to develop the next big thing in the Simulation industry. We have an exciting lineup of industry leaders so RSVP today!
Our Event Lineup
January 30: Creating a Common Simulation Core Platform to Build Complex Training Scenarios Leveraging Unreal Engine, Lockheed Martin, Presented by Adam Breed
February 27: Medical Imagery, Data Visualization, and Digital Twin Training Environments Intuitive, Presented by the Intuitive Team
March 19: Medical Triage to Military Training, Virtual Heroes, Presented by the Virtual Heroes Team
April 18: Build immersive maps with ArcGIS Maps SDK for Unreal Engine, Esri, Presented by Rex Hansen
May 8: Very Large-Scale 3D Simulation Environment Generation based on Satellite Imagery, Blackshark.ai, Presented by Hannes Walter
Read Ahead About How Lockheed Martin is Using Unreal Engine
Lockheed Martin is leveraging the power of Unreal Engine 5 to transform their simulation and training technology pipeline. Come learn about how a unified Lockheed Martin simulation engine baseline is being managed and is being used to create multiple innovative defense-focused technologies; including an integration of human-worn sensor fusion used to properly train ground soldiers and the development of a new high-fidelity visual engine to train the next generation of helicopter pilots.

About Our Speaker: Adam Breed
Adam Breed is the Chief of Innovation for Lockheed Martin’s Training and Logistics Solutions (TLS) business. He is responsible for TLS’s Internal Research and Development (IRAD) portfolio; including strategy and execution. As the primary innovation architect, he is the engineering and technology liaison across all business functions, strategic initiatives, and external partnerships. Adam’s goals are centered around creating advanced technology that is affordable, scalable, and portable by leveraging innovation across defense and commercial industries.
Recently, Adam was the TLS line of business Digital Transformation coordinator and was responsible for ensuring the adoption of advanced technologies and processes including model-based engineering and software factories. During that time, Adam was heavily involved in shaping and developing Extended Reality (XR) simulation devices and next-generation persistent training environments that supported novel point-of-need training requirements.
Prior to his Chief role, he was the Engineering Project Manager of Prepar3D®, Lockheed Martin’s flagship commercial flight simulator platform. Adam directed all aspects of the Prepar3D simulation program, including worldwide commercial product launches. During his career at Lockheed Martin, Adam has supported multiple simulation programs spanning the training spectrum, including efforts for the F-35, F-16, C-130, PC-21, Stryker Mobile Gun System, and Orion. Adam has a bachelor's degree in computer science and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Florida. He has been with Lockheed Martin since 2008.
