Our first tech talk of the year will be all about audio! As of Unreal Engine 4.24, the new Audio Mixer is on by default, allowing any new project to take advantage of Unreal's powerful new audio engine. What you might not know is that Unreal also ships with a few optional plugins for real-time synthesis, audio visualization, MIDI input/output, and more.
Nick Pfisterer will demonstrate some examples of real-time synthesis and audio visualization created entirely in Unreal Engine 4, and how you can control all of this with a MIDI keyboard. Nick will also discuss project setup and scripting the Blueprints that drive everything. The presentation will be followed by Q&A and networking.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
