Gamedev Guild and Unreal Tallinn are back!!

We’re doing a soft-relaunch with Gamedev Guild 2.0 on the 18th of April starting at 18:00

The event will take place at:

From 18:00 till 22:00 - Open doors at 17:30

ELU area in Tallinn University Mare building, third floor, Uus-Sadama 5

What this means is the following.

1) Unreal Tallinn meetups will be part of Gamedev Guild and we’ll have UE related presentations regularly.

2) Events will happen at either EKA or TLU depending on the week.

3) The format will change a bit based on feedback and our past experience (check below)

4) Event will now happen on Friday instead of Thursday.

FORMAT UPDATE

The default setting of the event is an open-laptop event. Bring your laptop, Steam Deck or even your board game on a piece of paper, we’ll have tables for you to setup and everyone will have a chance to walk around and check each other’s projects. Playtest, discuss, etc. etc.

We will still have presentations but we’ll be taking requests from you ahead of the event to better plan everyone’s time. If you have something to present to everyone, ask anyone questions - let us know before the event. At least on the last day.

1) GDC 2025 report. How things went down, what are the projections for the industry, what’s on offer, what takeaways and how to prepare for 2026.

2) Procedural 3d Modelling in UE5 in collaboration with Unreal Tallinn

3) If you want to do a presentation of your own - please let us know in the Discord thread for the event!

WHO IS WELCOME

Everyone who is interested in playing games and games development. If you have nothing to show - just come check out the latest updates from local devs.

JUST VIDEOGAMES?

Board games, tabletop RPG designs, card games, anything you can think of that is technically game development is welcome. You can also bring snacks & drinks, we have kitchen!

AFTER PARTY

Since we’re doing it on Friday, we invite anyone willing to join us to hang out after the event! Details will be given out during the event itself and will depend on venue availability, weather etc. etc.
