Mike Seese will be presenting an introduction to hard references and asset dependencies in Unreal Engine 5. The presentation will cover the following topics:
• Overview of hard references and asset dependencies
• When it's appropriate to use hard references
• Practical examples for avoiding unnecessary asset dependencies
• Methods and tools for reducing long asset dependency chains
This talk will be primarily focused around Blueprints; C++ experience is not required.
The presentation will be followed by Q&A.
