The Revolution will be Digitized.
Our next guest is Kenjji Jumanne-Marshall.
Kenjji is a Detroit-born freelance illustrator, writer, and a foundational figure in the independent Black Age of Comics. Kenjji is best known for his signature series, WitchDoctor, a psychological thriller following the otherworldly exploits of Dr. Jovan Carrington. Unlike mainstream supernatural stories, Kenjji’s work meticulously weaves authentic Haitian Vodou, African folklore, and Blaxploitation aesthetics into an edgy, historical narrative. His philosophy centers on "dynamic art set to an exciting rhythm," drawing heavy influence from '80s television, Hip Hop, and the industrial soul of the Motor City.
The Motor City Mixtape is more than a meetup; it’s a reboot of the Unreal Detroit community. We are coming together to share a community-owned digital twin of our city. This is a living, breathing virtual replica capable of ingesting heterogeneous data inputs, optimizing traffic, managing infrastructure, and simulating the environmental future of our neighborhoods.
